COTG Supports Cameron Can Event

Chicago, IL – March 14, 2013 –At Rockit Bar and Grill in downtown Chicago, people from Chicago to Ireland came together to drink, be merry and support the families of children with lifelong neurological conditions.

The fundraising event, Cameron Rocks On, was held by an organization called Cameron Can, originally created by COTG Solutions Specialist Matt Dominick and his wife, Rory, to help support their son’s extensive medical treatment for Pediatric Hydrocephalus. This condition disrupts the brain’s normal process of transferring spinal fluid throughout the brain and causes a build up of spinal fluid to occur. Pediatric Hydrocephalus is treatable, but the treatments are often life-long.

Cameron Can has started to reach out and support other families that have been touched by this and other neurological conditions, with this year’s event supporting Declan Finn Keddy and his family.

The event included a silent auction with items varying from music icon and sports memorabilia, to vacation packages and experiences around Chicago. Sponsors included 101.9 The Mix, Atlantic Records, The Chicago Cubs, Blackhawks, and White Sox, and many others. A raffle for some additional prizes also took place.

By the end of the event, every item had been bid on and the bar had reached the maximum occupancy for the private room. The event raised over $80,000.
