COTG WINS TWO COMMUNITAS AWARDS FOR COMMUNITY SERVICES
BOLINGBROOK, IL – April 20, 2015 – COTG – A Xerox Company recently won two
Communitas Awards for the company’s dedication to community service.
Client Relations Manager Elizabeth Hausmann won a Communitas Award for her Leadership
in Community Service. In 2014, COTG donated over $42,700 to local non-profit organizations,
including the March of Dimes, Susan G. Komen Chicagoland, the DuPage Township Food Pantry
and United Cerebral Palsy Seguin of Greater Chicago.
COTG also won a Communitas Award for Excellence in Community Partnership due to its work
with Bolingbrook’s Operation Christmas this past Holiday season. COTG raised $2,500 for
Operation Christmas to provide toys, clothing and food that went to 500 families in need.
“It is because of the commitment and generosity of our employees that has allowed COTG to
stand out to these groups as an organization that is deserving of such high tributes,” said
COTG President David Sass. “We are very honored and proud to be a part of such a great
culture and collection of individuals.”
The Communitas Awards recognizes exceptional businesses, organizations and individuals that are
unselfishly giving of themselves and their resources and those that are changing how they
do business to benefit their communities.
Judges found that COTG clearly exhibits the spirt of communitas, a Latin word that means
people coming together for the good of the community. COTG joins other Communitas Award
winners recognized for promoting volunteerism, philanthropy or ethical, sustainable business
“By recognizing individuals, organizations and companies for their volunteerism and socially
responsible business practices, we are hoping to not only bring attention to great programs,
but are working with community minded leaders to make the spirit of communitas an essential
element of every business,” said Ed Dalheim, executive director of AMCP.
