COTG Showcases Technology at ICE Conference
St. Charles, IL – March 1, 2013 - From Tuesday, February 26th through
Friday, March 1st, at Pheasant Run Resort and Conference Center, education technology
vendors met to showcase their equipment and services to the Illinois education community
at the Illinois Computing Educators (ICE) Conference.
COTG was in attendance, showing technology relevant to various individuals within
the education environment; from SMART Tables for early childhood development and
SMART Boards for older students, to Xerox and HP printing equipment relevant for
all of the printed material found in schools, and Managed Print Services to assist
in the administrative side of education.
“We are not the only SMART vendor here, so we need to find a way to stand out,”
said Jessica Eaton, representing MPS for COTG. “COTG offers more than SMART products.
We have copiers, printers, AV equipment, and we include training on SMART equipment,
which most vendors don’t do.”
The ICE Conference’s theme this year was “Meeting the needs of all learners; Today,
tomorrow and next year.” This is a large event in Illinois targeting educators for
professional learning and networking. There were many keynote speakers, providing
seminars on technology relevant topics, and how to work with and use technology
to better the education experience. Other vendors in attendance included Cisco Systems,
Epson America and Discovery Education.
