BOLINGBROOK, IL – June 23, 2015 – COTG – A Xerox Company was presented with a Bronze Stevie® Award in
the category Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year in the 13th Annual American Business Awards in Chicago
“It’s truly an honor for COTG to be recognized with an award as prestigious as a Stevie,” said President David Sass.
“Congratulations to all the winners and finalists. We look forward to continuing our efforts to give back to our community
while being an organization that values environmental sustainability.”
The American Business Awards are the nation’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A.
are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small.
Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word meaning “crowned,” the awards were presented to winners during a gala banquet on
Monday, June 22 at the Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park Hotel. More than 400 nominees and their guests attended.
The 2015 American Business Awards will be presented at two awards events: Monday’s banquet in Chicago, and at the new
products awards banquet on Friday, September 11 in San Francisco.
More than 3,300 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for
consideration in a wide range of categories, including Startup of the Year, Executive of the Year, Best New Product or
Service of the Year, Marketing Campaign of the Year, Live Event of the Year, and Human Resources Department of the Year,
COTG – A Xerox Company was nominated in the Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year – Up To 2,500 Employees.
In 2014, COTG and its employees donated over $42,700 to local non-profit organizations in the community. COTG employees
also logged 6000 hours of work in quarterly volunteer days, blood drives, Thanksgiving food drives and toy drives.
COTG also implements several green programs at its headquarters. In 2014, COTG recycled and reused over 6300 parts for
Xerox devices. It takes 100 years for a print cartridge to decompose in a landfill and we are able to recycle 97 percent
of print cartridges.
“Corporate social responsibility is not a cost of doing business; it’s a way of doing business,” said Sass. “Giving back
to our community who has given us so much to us is paramount to COTG’s mission. It’s our obligation to help the less fortunate,
the vulnerable and the Earth and we are honored to do so.”
More than 200 executives worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year’s Stevie Award winners.
