COTG EMPLOYEES VOLUNTEER AT BOLINGBROOK’S OPERATION CHRISTMAS
Bolingbrook, Illinois – December 3, 2013 – Since 2011, COTG has partnered with Bolingbrook’s
Operation Christmas, raising funds to purchase toys to donate to families in need
during the holiday season. This year, in addition to the traditional fundraising,
COTG employees spent a day volunteering their time and efforts to the organization.
On December 3, Eleven COTG employees assisted Operation Christmas with the setup
of their donation site at the Bolingbrook Performing Arts Stage. Employees sifted
through boxes of gently used clothing, organized food items, sorted through brand
new toys and helped with the general organization of the setup to prepare for family
visits, which begin on December 11.
"We didn't think we were going to have everything setup in time for appointments."
said Gwen Bettig, co-chair of Operation Christmas. "COTG really helped us out today.
We're definitely going to be ready for the family appointments in time."
Also joining COTG employees in volunteering was Alex Davis, from the Bolingbrook
Fire Department. COTG and the Bolingbrook Fire Department partner each year to raise
funds and go shopping for Operation Christmas.
